Overview

Join us for a webinar featuring Jeremy Thacker and Ray Vadnais from the University of California, Irvine. Jeremy and Ray will share information about the design, development, and implementation of UCI Spark, a student-facing application that brings together diverse data to help students succeed at UCI in their academic and co-curricular endeavors. Leveraging data from the Unizin Data Platform, Spark reflects Canvas usage data back to students, helping them gain insights about their digital activity in order to inform various decisions around things like time management, study habits, and engagement with in-person campus opportunities.‌

What to Expect

In this 60-minute webinar, we’ll hear how Jeremy and‌ ‌Ray are empowering UCI students with data to inform academic and well-being decisions. Topics include:‌

  • An overview of Spark and the impetus to create a student-facing analytics application.‌
  • A demonstration of the different types of guidance a student can receive, from academic to well-being.‌
  • Strategies to engage students in the iterative design process, making sure students have a voice at the table in the creation and ongoing enhancement of Spark.‌
